Wilson scores 25 as Acadia edges StFX 86–85

Acadia beat StFX 86–85 on Wednesday at the Saputo Center in Antigonish. The Axemen led 49–40 at halftime and closed it out with a 20–22 fourth quarter after the X-Men rallied in the third.

Briawne Wilson led Acadia with 25 points on 7-of-12 shooting. He hit one three and went 10-for-15 from the line.

Robbie Grant scored 14 points. Ryan Regault added 11 points and six assists. Gabe Davignon had nine points and six rebounds. Shaquai Manswell scored 10 points off the bench on 3-of-4 from three.

Acadia shot 40.0 per cent from the floor and 33.3 per cent from three (8-for-24). The Axemen finished 18-for-29 at the line. StFX shot 34.1 per cent and 20.7 per cent from three (6-for-29), and went 21-for-30 at the line.

StFX outrebounded Acadia 58–37. Acadia had the edge in points off turnovers (17–13) and bench points (40–16). The game featured 12 ties and seven lead changes.
