HALIFAX, N.S. — The Acadia Axewomen beat the Saint Mary's Huskies 2–0 on Saturday in Atlantic University Sport women's soccer at Huskies Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, Rachel Kibble broke the deadlock in the 57th minute with an unassisted strike. She doubled the lead three minutes later, finishing from Taylor Kay to make it 2–0.
Goalkeeper Milena Ramirez made seven saves to record the clean sheet. Acadia outshot Saint Mary's 14–9, with a 6–4 edge in shots on target. Corners were even at 3–3. Cautions were issued to SMU's Cara Freeman (78') and Acadia's Hannah Richardson-Mc (80').
