Joining the Axewomen from Toronto, Chloe Brown’s commitment to Acadia brings significant experience to the program from her high school program.
With Rosedale Heights School of the Arts (RHSA) swim program, she was the first athlete to qualify for OFSAA, placing third in the 100m free and fifth in the 50m free this season. In her Grade 11 year she finished fourth at OFSAA in the 50m free and fifth in the 100 IM. Her Grade 10 season was affected by covid, not attending the OFSAA championship, yet she won three individual TDSB individual gold medals in the 200m free, 50m free and 100 IM, on top of a medley relay gold medal.
“I have always been involved in competitive sports and it has been a dream of mine to swim competitively at the post-secondary level,” said Brown. “I am thrilled to be swimming varsity for Acadia where I will continue to improve as an athlete. I am also excited to be part of a close-knit team who will support my dreams and help me reach my goals. I am looking forward to new memories in and outside of the pool in a new part of our country.”
With RHSA she was the high school MVP for all three years and in 2024 was named the recipient of the award for all around athlete pursuing sport at the post-secondary level.
Outside of swimming, she was a multi-sport athlete, competing in artistic swimming (synchronized swimming) for over ten years. She also plays soccer, ultimate frisbee and volleyball.
The Axewomen open their season October 19-20 at UNB before hosting the Jack Scholz November 2-3 at Acadia Pool.
