Axemen add dynamic midfielder Thomas Foran
Forge FC trialist adds depth and versatility to Axemen
The Acadia Axemen men’s soccer program has added a dynamic midfield talent with the commitment of Thomas Foran for the upcoming Atlantic University Sport season.
Foran, a midfielder, joins the Axemen after developing through a competitive youth system where he consistently made an impact at both ends of the field. He plans to continue his academic journey at Acadia while competing with the program in 2026.
Known for his ability to influence the game in multiple ways, Foran has built a reputation as both a playmaker and a scorer. Despite playing in midfield, he has regularly led his teams in scoring at major tournaments, showcasing his offensive instincts and ability to find space in attacking areas.
At the same time, Foran has remained committed to the defensive side of the game. His work rate and awareness allow him to contribute in all phases, making him a reliable presence in midfield.
His recent performances have also drawn attention at the professional level. Foran earned an opportunity to trial with Forge FC of the Canadian Premier League, gaining valuable experience in a high-performance environment.
Axemen head coach Matt Holton said Foran’s complete game makes him a strong addition to the program.
“Despite being a midfielder, Thomas has consistently been the top scorer for his teams at major tournaments, but what impresses me most about Thomas is his commitment to his defensive duties,” said Holton. “His talent recently landed him a trial with Forge FC in the CPL, and we look forward to seeing him at Raymond Field for the 2026 season.”
Foran said joining Acadia represents an exciting next step in his development.
“Committing to Acadia is a great opportunity for me to continue growing as a player and a student,” he said. “I’m looking forward to competing at the next level and contributing to the team.”
Foran’s versatility, work rate and attacking ability add another dimension to the Axemen midfield as the program continues to build toward the 2026 season.
