WOLFVILLE, N.S. — The Acadia Axemen dropped a 2–0 decision to the Cape Breton Capers in Atlantic University Sport men's soccer on Friday at Raymond Field.
Cape Breton opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Amadou Bayo finished unassisted. The visitors added a second at 90 minutes through Yohann Hebert from Bayo to seal the result.
Acadia limited clear chances in the first half, with Dylan Legere stopping a late header by Bayo to keep it 1–0 at the break. The Axemen pushed after halftime, earning three corners and a look from Nathan Amoah-Gyekye that sailed high in the 54th minute. Legere made three saves, including a low stop on Mateo Goldsztein in the 63rd.
Cape Breton held a 13–2 edge in shots and a 5–3 advantage in corners. Cautions were issued to Acadia's Jabu Deng (20'), and to Cape Breton's Nickolas Shifrin (31'), Jack Turpin (71') and Joe Mac (83'). Attendance was 267.
