Dan Turner, a native of Kentville now residing in Halls Harbour, joined the Acadia University men’s hockey program as goaltending coach for the 2024 season. Turner brings a wealth of experience to the Axemen, having coached the U15 and U18 Wildcats from 2010 to 2015. His coaching credentials are further bolstered by his participation in the prestigious Roger Nelson Coaching Clinic in Windsor, Ont., which he has attended three times, as well as his involvement in the NHL Mentorship Program during the 2022-23 season. Turner has also attended the NHL Coaching Conference in Nashville in 2023 and the East Coast Goaltender Convention in 2024.
