Drury brings size and strength to Axemen defensive front
Team captain with Patrick Fogarty Flames joins Acadia
The Acadia Axemen football program has added size and strength to its defensive front with the commitment of Oro-Medonte, Ont., native James Drury for the upcoming Atlantic University Sport season.
Drury, a 6'3, 250-pound defensive lineman, joins the Axemen after developing with the Patrick Fogarty Flames. He plans to study engineering at Acadia.
Drury played multiple seasons with the Flames, competing in the Central Ontario high school system. During his time with the program, he earned recognition as a team captain, highlighting his leadership and presence on the defensive side of the ball.
A physical lineman, Drury brings size and strength to the line of scrimmage. His ability to compete in the trenches and contribute on defence adds depth to the Axemen roster as the program continues to build.
Drury said committing to Acadia represents an important step in both his academic and athletic journey.
“Committing to Acadia is a big step for my future success in football and academics.”
