Regault and Lake named Acadia athletes of the week

Ryan Regault (men’s basketball) and Jenna Lake (women’s volleyball) have been named Acadia athletes of the week for the period ending Nov. 2 following strong performances in AUS competition.

Regault, a second-year law and society student from Scarborough, Ont., scored 38 points over two games as the Axemen swept Memorial at home. He shot 40.7 per cent from the floor and went 11-for-12 from the free-throw line, adding nine assists, three steals and six rebounds. The Axemen sit second overall in the AUS standings.

Lake, a fifth-year education student from Conception Bay South, N.L., was named player of the game in Saturday’s win over Memorial in St. John’s. She recorded 13 kills in that match and finished the weekend with 18.5 total points, while adding seven digs in each contest against the Sea-Hawks.

The Acadia athletes of the week are presented by McDonald’s.
