Reid and Lemay-Evans named Acadia athletes of the week

Donovan Reid (men’s basketball) and Mia Lemay-Evans (women’s volleyball) have been named Acadia athletes of the week for the period ending Feb. 1 following strong performances in AUS competition.

Reid, a second-year business administration student from Middle Sackville, N.S., delivered a strong all-around performance in Saturday’s 87–76 loss to UPEI. He finished with 12 points, six rebounds, four blocks and one steal, making an impact at both ends of the floor in a tightly contested matchup.

Lemay-Evans, a second-year nursing student from Sudbury, Ont., opened the weekend with six kills, 6.5 blocks - including six solo - and two aces in a 3-0 sweep of Moncton. She followed with eight kills, an ace and a block in a 3-1 loss to Dalhousie.
