Entering his fifth full year as the head coach of the Axewomen Cross Country team, Ralph Williams is an avid runner who has participated in running cross country and marathon races for many years. Ralph brings a wealth of experience in preparation and training that spans over three decades of competitive running. This past season, the cross country team had a third place finish at the AUS championships - a first for the Acadia cross country program.
This season Ralph brings a serious tone to the team in achieving personal and team goals. Ralph served as an assistant coach for several seasons prior to his acceptance of the head coach position.
Ralph was a track athlete, Cross Country and road runner who represented Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada Nationally throughout the 70s and 80s. He will head up the training sessions for the team this season and manage the team's day to day operation.
